This is the 2007 Korean medical/romance TV drama series, native title "뉴하트" which is just the Hangul characters for the English title.

From MyDramaList: https://mydramalist.com/1163-new-heart
"This drama is about the pride and frustration of cardiac surgeons on the job. Lee Eun-sung graduated from a newly established medical school in the southern province and not from an elite one like the Kwanghee University Hospital where he applied for residency with the hope of becoming a great cardiac specialist. Since he wasn't a graduate of Kwanghee University, he was looked down upon by almost everyone at the hospital. Nam Hye-suk graduated with top marks and was regarded as a star student. She was an absolute fundamentalist and proud of herself. Dr. Choi Kang-gook became the new head of the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery after being in exile for 5 years for getting into trouble with his former superior. He was a genius but he was also a stubborn surgeon who does not care for hospital politics. It ended up that Eun-sung and Hye-suk were the only doctors who applied for residency and they were accepted with great reluctance after being rejected outright by Dr. Choi Kang-gook. Lee Dong-kwon, a famous actor, was admitted to the Hospital for arrhythmia surgery. He knew Hye-suk from elementary school and was infatuated with her. Between him and Eun-sung, who would Hye-suk choose?"

This is the complete set of 23 episodes which are each about one hour long (between 59 and 78 minutes). They all have edited "soft" English captions; that is, English subtitles are part of the MKV file and the subtitles can be enabled or disabled as you wish.

I downloaded the source videos named like "New.Heart.E01.720p.HDTV.x264-ChodIng.mkv" and obtained the fansubbed "B.O.N. FunSubs" for this version from subscene.com users d-addicts & Soompi. Then I...
- Used a linear video editor to mask off the occasional scrolling ads at the bottom of most episodes
- Used Subtitle Edit (by Nikolaj Lynge Olsson) to find and fix all flagged issues
- Watched the series and italicized music lyrics, characters' thoughts, short flashbacks, and some off-screen dialogue; also color-coded some subtitles for clarity as appropriate, using yellow, teal, and salmon colors for signs, flashbacks, and written/printed material respectively
- Added 0.7 second to each subtitle (where possible) to allow more time to read them and adjusted words/minute to at least 280
- "Softened" all subtitled profanity (bastard --> jerk, damn --> darn, bitch --> witch etc.)
- Corrected commonly-found typos, converted many word pairs into common English contractions, brought together sentence fragments, removed unnecessary translated words like "oh" and "ah", etc., and converted British terms to American ones
- Split up and/or rewrote lengthy and/or wordy subtitles to maintain 23 characters/second and/or 280 words/minute or less
- Translated signs and other on-screen writing which were typically left untranslated
- Changed the characters' titles to be consistent across all episodes
- Updated recaps at the beginning of episodes to be consistent with another translator's text from the previous one
- Converted Korean names to AP style (family name followed by hyphenated given name)
- Used Handbrake to create new MKV files using my subtitles
