"So You Think You Can Dance", an American dance competition show for people aged 18-30, returned for its seventeenth season on 18 May 2022.

Originally set to premiere in the summer of 2020, the initial judging panel was to be series creator Nigel Lythgoe (his seventeenth consecutive season as judge), Mary Murphy and Laurieann Gibson, but it was postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cat Deeley returned as host for a sixteenth consecutive season. But the judging panel was entirely different from previous seasons. They were freestyle hip-hop dancer and Season 4 runner-up Stephen "tWitch" Boss, dancer and reality TV star JoJo Siwa, and actor Matthew Morrison. These judges replaced Lythgoe, Murphy and Gibson. In May 2022, Morrison announced his departure from the show, as a result of failing to follow "competition production protocols". In June 2022, Leah Remini was announced as Morrison's successor.

In addition to the new judges, the auditions were revamped. Instead of remote tryouts, the contestants come to the new SYTYCD Hollywood studio, and 42 of those made it past the auditions and competed in the choreography round.

On 10 August 2022, the winner was crowned "America's Favorite Dancer". Enjoy!
