The 50th Anniversary reissue of Morrison Hotel was newly and expertly remastered from the original studio tapes by session and mixing engineer Bruce Botnik. It is packaged with a second disc featuring 19 illuminating studio outtakes -- including seven of “Queen of the Highway,” five of “Roadhouse Blues,” a still-in-process take of "Peace Frog," and "Blue Sunday" -- all accompanied by insightful conversation and dialogue. Further, there are swampy reads of blues standard "Rock Me Baby," another studio version of rarity "I'll Never Be Untrue," and a burning read of Barrett Strong's early Motown hit, "Money, That's What I Want" done in the Doors inimitable style.
